To by mě zajímalo. kdy jsme měli zdravý rozum :-) My, kolébka komunismu a demokratického i nacionálního socialismu, neustále závistiví a naříkající na osud a sousedy. Zaseli jsem vítr a sklízíme bouři. Máme ale stále možnost se pokusit alespoň něco napravit pouhou sebekontrolou a změnou myšlení od zlého k dobrému. Je nám. středoevropanům, v tom široširém světě dána velká odpovědnost a tedy i moc. :-)

to já bych nebyl takový skeptik... myslím, že u nás je solidní liberální tradice....
ať to byli mladočeši za rakouska uherska anebo od 1.sv. do 2.sv. až pak to šlo do háje...
nejsem vůbec odborník na historii naopak se stydím za svou neznalost v tomto odvětví, ale třeba před 2 sv. v. jsme byli snad jedinou demokracii na východ od nás.
btw návrh na něco českého o české historii?
nebo všechno jsou jen marxistické spisy tak jak většina historikcých děl?
nemáme v čr nějakého Tom Woodse?:)

Asi jste postřehl, že jsem přesvědčen, že demokracie je jisté cesta k socialismu a pro mě to neznamená žádné vítězství a lituji zániku Rakouska-Uherska. K tomu pomohli levičáci a demokraté u nás a hlavně v USA a v GB.
Naše předválečná demokracie je jedovatým plodem první světové války.
Už jen násilné donucení sudet aby zůstali v ČR či vytvoření umělého "národa" kvůli většině v parlamentu. Zřejmě Karel Čapek poté těsně před smrtí, viděl, že toto, na první pohled, krásné ovoce je uvnitř odporné, a trpěl. Asi zaslouženě jako každý naivní člověk.
Od pana Woodse nic neznám (snad jen o zabité ústavě). U nás v češtině např. v dílech Rio Preisnera nebo Kunhelt-Leddhina jsou i odkazy na plno pramenů na zajímavou historii demokracie a levicového myšlení. A o Wilsonovi, Rooseveltovi, T.G. Masarykovi a E. Benešovi tam není nic doložitelně dobrého.

já jsem minimálně stejný anarchista jako ty...
ale podle mě zase musíš brát věci tak nějak evolučně... a jak říkám, vím toho strašně málo o historii... a určitě nepovažuju demokracii za svobodu, ale myslím, že v rámci meziválečné doby jsme byli mnohem svobodnější než většina evropy...
což by snad i fakt, že jsme byli fabrikou evropy mělo potvrdit ne?
neříkám, že tomu tleskám ale říkám že i u nás je liberální tradice a 50 let komunismu a posledních 20 let fašismu to nezmění

Chile si možná vedlo ekonomicky dobře, ale jinak to trochu kazí Pinochetova junta.
Problém první republiky byla spíš jeho podoba s Rakouskem ve smyslu národnostního slepence. Myslím také, že i kdyby Rakousko-Uhersko přežilo první světovou válku, nástup Reichu by ho dorazil.

Zastánci lidských práv toho mají na svědomí více a řičí nejvíce. Jestli se Pinochet bránil před komunisty a jejich ovládnutí situace v rámci demokracie, tak ho docela chápu. Ani oni jistě nebili bez viny co se týče mučení a vraždění. Ale přiznávám, na dálku se to těžko soudí. Dle výsledku bych spíš byl na straně Pinocheta. Měl lepší instinkt nebo povědomí o podstatě demokracie než jiní.
Podobná hysterie u levičáku propuká u Franca, na nějž nakupily celé nánosy lží, pomluv a předsudků. Samozřejmě, také nebyl dokonalý a dělal chyby, ale kdo je? Ale o demokracii také věděl své.

Zdravím, taky nejsem zrovna expert na historii, ale z toho co zrovna pobíráme ve škole o hospodářské historii českých zemí, jsem si odnesl toto:
1) Rakousko Uhersko pro český národ nebyla žádná pohroma. V rámci monarchie měly české země otevřené obrovské exportní možnosti, navíc do českých zemí plynul kapitál z celé monarchie jako nikdy poté. Průmysl, co zde byl za první republiky, vděčí za svůj původ zahraničnímu kapitálu z dob před 1.sv.v.
2) První republika nebyla kdovíjak liberálnější než dnešní doba, porovnáme-li státní výdaje a příjmy/HDP. Tehdy, stejně jako dnes, stát přerozděloval cca 40% HDP. Samozřejmě i tehdy existovali kreativní účetní (např. Karel Engliš), kteří uměli schovávat vládní výdaje do "mimorozpočtových" položek (tam např. byly sanace ztrátových státních podniků, např. ČD :-) ), a na první pohled tak tehdejší rozpočty vypadají vyrovnaně a co do objemu se zdají malé.
3) Komunisti sem po 2.sv.v. nepřišli z Marsu, naopak už za 1.republiky měli silné zázemí. A to v tehdejší ČSSD, ze které se poté komunistická strana vyčlenila.

Kuehnelt-Leddhin uvádí, že v Jižní Americe policie mučila všude i před Pinochetem a i jemu se nepodařilo tento zvyk ihned vykořenit v dobách zmatku, které nezpůsobil. Dneska tam snad není. A jak by asi mučili komunisti po svém vítězství. Nevěřím tomu, co píše levicový tisk, to jest všichni.
Tak koho mám zastávat? Socialistů, komunistů a nebo demokratů, což jsou vlastně socialistů a komunistů? Pro ně všechny je demokracie nejlepší cesta k vítězství.

No, ona demokracie je právě tak nelegitimní, jako každá jiná forma státu. Má jen jednu výhodu: demokratická vláda většinou nepáchá taková zvěrstva. Ale v Chile dělala demokratická vláda horší věci než Pinochet.
